Affiliate Marketing is one of the best ways to make money online. However, like everything else you do, there is a learning curve and knowledge is powerful. Unfortunately you do not get anything for free, and perhaps the best part of that equation is that no one will apply themselves nearly as hard if they don’t have their own hard earned cash in on the deal. Affiliate Marketing is a bit like MLM and some other aspects of marketing

While you don’t have to spend half of your income on products in Affiliate Marketing to be successful, “time” becomes a valuable commodity no matter how you look at it. And that is true no matter what you decide to do to earn an extra income or replace the one you have. If you don’t have the time, don’t start. I have heard of stories of how some folks get to the top and it isn’t worth it unless nothing else matters to you.

How you write your ads is one of the determining factors to your success. Quite frankly some of the ads I’ve seen from affiliate marketers are not a whole lot different than some of the National Enquirer Headlines. “Deaf and Dumb Nerd stumbles onto new way to market with PPC and made $243,972.00 in six months. I could go on, but I don’t want to insult your intelligence here.

How successful you are is determined by the amount of hard work you are willing to put forth, and the size of your wallet book. To this date, I have yet to have bought an e-book or a tool that didn’t require you to buy another tool and another e-book to be successful. If you use magazine ads, they can start as low as $3.500 for a half and go page ad and go up from there.

Almost all marketing has several points in common and they use many of the same tools. If you become adept in one, you will undoubtedly be adept at another. The list of tools is pretty much the same, Autorepsonders, Fax Blast, Classified Ads, etc.

One of the things you can do as an affiliate that you can not do with some products or services is make yourself known from one corner of the Internet globe to the next, and I mean that literally. A classified ad is only good for a few days and then it is gone. Unless you are saving your old magazines, how long do you think a half page ad at $3,500.00 is going to bring you results?

Do these two things to be successful as an affiliate marketer: 1) Create your own web site of the affiliate product you are going to promote. 2) Submit articles promoting your website, this will increase your rankings with back links and supply you with targeted traffic

Information overload is the number one killer of sales in affiliate marketing. I mean we are talking about the site that takes you most of 30 minutes to read and leaves you feeling like you just got done reading a big fat blank when you were done reading it. It kind of reminds me of the guys who are trying to dazzle you with brilliance and have set out to baffle you with BS in the event that the first option didn’t work out too well. You are selling something you believe in, or you are selling something that you believe your potential customer wants. Keep IT Simple.
