I have trouble believing that it’s been a whole 3 years since I brought the power of Web 2.0 marketing and social media to the chiropractic profession. There was once a time when chiropractors paid ungodly amounts of money on marketing and advertising. Actually, chiropractors are still doing that. But the difference is that those tactics do not work in this age. In fact, they’re a huge waste of money and chiropractors are suffering because of it. When you step into the present and embrace the methods that are working today, you’re giving your practice a chance to survive and even thrive in these difficult times.

I know the economy of this nation is bleak, but my part of the economy is actually succeeding, and there is a short list of other chiropractors that are finding tremendous success and countless new patients during this time. How are they doing it? They’ve tapped into the goldmine of Web 2.0 and social media marketing. So, do you want to strike gold, or be left out in the cold?

There are actually more than a few hundred sites that can provide this same powerful marketing magic, but for the sake of time, here were just a few. When you’re starting this new marketing strategy, it’s vitally important to have a clear plan of implementation and an exceptional knowledge of what you’re getting into. But, as a practicing chiropractor, you don’t need to do this yourself. That’s not your job and expertise! You can outsource this task to someone with knowledge and experience to do it for you.

Even the straightforward and leveraged-based strategies that I use can be easily taught to any CA or marketing director. When you have an open mind and are teachable, you too can learn these practices that have enormous potential for success.

There are even ways to monetize your existing chiropractic practice online with Web 2.0 social media. I can’t even begin to tell you how great it feels to wake-up in the morning with consistently more money in my bank account without doing any work. Sometimes I think that I’m dreaming but this is a reality, not just for myself, but for many other chiropractors that are hitting it hard with social media.

Establishing other systems of passive income along with your current practice will make you recession-proof. Bigger thinking is required in times like these and those that are constantly scouting innovative methods for attracting new patients will thrive and prosper.

Concentrate on providing a large amount of value to your existing and potential patients on the web. This medium allows you to put yourself in front of a local and global audience eager to hear what you have to say. Don’t fret, you are an expert in your own right. Trust me, you have plenty to talk about even though you might not see it yet. Let’s start at the beginning. Just what is a niche marketing? A niche is defined as “a small space or notch”. A second definition is “a space or activity for which a person is best fitted”. Both definitions apply but especially the second. Niche marketing therefore can be described as marketing within a well defined area in which the person or company is well fitted.

In the world of Google and search engines the goal is to appear at or near the top of the list when someone is submitting a keyword or phrase in search of a product, service, or information. Most users of Google won’t go beyond the first or second page of results unless they haven’t yet found what they are looking for.

If you have a travel site for example and “travel” and “vacation” are your primary keywords you will find yourself lost in the competition. You may not even find your website in Google unless you search through the night. To place high on the Google listings or “dominate” those listings you’ve got to establish a well defined niche and have the keywords to match. Once you’ve established your niche you’ll begin to find that online marketing really works.

An advertisement for a agreat vacationa to anywhere is not going to help you stand out. However a featured vacation to California’s Catalina Island, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, or Washington’s San Juan Islands will move you closer to finding your niche. The reality of a niche is that it should be a thing you know as well as, or better then anybody else.

A key role is played by supply and demand. Imagine if the hula hoop were invented during a time when Google and the Internet were available. The inventor with a few press releases would have announced his product to the world. People would turn to Google and enter ahula hoopa and guess what? All results would have led back to the inventors website. The inventor would have adominated Googlea . The hula hoop did just fine without needing to be online, but the point should remain clear.

Whatever product or service you may offer, it should be in high demand and have few existing suppliers. It will also be greatly helpful for you to know a lot about your product or service, which you already probably will if you are offering your own. A large unmet demand and a low level of competition should be able to add up to a dominant Google search position.

Creating an online marketing business that is successful is not necessarily easy, and failure is likely unless you are able to find your niche early on. A good approach to finding your marketing niche is to brainstorm. Let your mind room free over as many marketing possibilities as you can. Make a list of them, and then go through the list and analyze the supply and demand possibilities for each listed item. Once you find something with high demand that only you or a few others can supply, you are on a solid path towards creating a successful niche marketing business

Opportunities can be staring us in the .face and often we are not even aware of it. Give some consideration to what you can offer the world. You probably have significantly more to offer then you realize. Then look for something unique, something others feel is important or engaging and market it. Although it sounds simple it will take effort. Like most things in life success is not guaranteed, but with hard work, perseverance, and a bit of luck, niche marketing can be made to work for you.

Credibility seems to be the glue that makes everything work, it is extremely important that you stand out and position yourself in the right way. It used to be enough to be professional and polite, but in this competitive business world, that just won’t do.

One of the best ways to do this is to constantly share new ideas, strategies and cutting edge techniques with those you encounter. Present fresh new content and you will be seen as a trusted adviser which will increase your sales and conversion ratios tremendously.
